First mountain Montafon

Turn-key holiday for the whole family, including pets, to blow off some steam in any season in the region called a Beach in the Alps.

Everything is thought through: there is a playground for children with babysitting services to keep an eye on the smallest, while the adults explore the breathtaking area to their heart’s content. The first mountain Hotel Montafon is located in a quiet location of the village Gaschurn in the beautiful Montafon. The Montafon region stretches from Bludenz to the glaciers of the Silvretta Group at over 3,300 meters. Ski Lifts Versetta and Vallüla are about 1 km away. For summer pleasures there are two bathing lakes - 6300 square meters of pure mountain water with pleasantly warm temperatures.

The hotel has plenty to offer both indoors and outdoors.

In-house sports hall is a great place for both children and adults to enjoy hockey and basketball tournaments or badminton games. The little ones particularly appreciate activities in the climbing area.

The first mountain Hotel Montafon is quite an active house, but there is also a nice atmosphere to relax and let your hair down.

There are water delights in a new and friendly designed wellness area with Finnish and steam sauna, a Kneipp bath, an emotional shower and a comfortable relaxation room with sun loungers. Unlimited chilled soda, water, apple juice are waiting for you at the dispensing system, thoughtfully installed for the guests comfort.

Catering

There is a restaurant to sample local cuisine famous for its scrumptious waffles, offered to make by yourselves, which is quite an entertainment for children at breakfast.

In the newly designed bar and lounge it’s easy to chill out for a company or to meet new acquaintances if you prefer travelling solo free from the burden of others. Freshly mixed drinks and music, a bit of dancing - what can be better for a good finish of an eventful day.

Rooms

To enjoy a relaxing scenery in the Vorarlberg Alps there are separate balconies almost in all the rooms. The rooms are very cozy and spacious and fully furnished with all the necessary conveniences. All rooms have a shower, a toilet, satellite TV, hairdryer, free Wi-Fi.

Activities

Summer

Plenty of theme trails for hiking spiced up with legends about smugglers and explorers of silver mines can motivate hikers of all ages. You can start hiking at the door or take a the Versettlabahn - monocable gondola lift to enjoy the scenery from the mountaintop. There is also Montafoner Wanderbus, connecting villages of the hiking area.

In-house bike rental can provide you with all the necessary things to explore 860km of newly signposted bike paths, including guided tours.

There are 2 golf courses with the school to try your hand at.

The pearl of the season is of course the amusement park Mountain Beach Austria on the doorstep of the first mountain hotel Montafon. The leisure and adventure park offers the right thing for every family member: waterslides, suspension bridge with ferry boat, bouncy castle, beach volleyball, 2 bathing lakes.

Winter

Winter is great in Montafon! With 140 kilometers of pistes with guaranteed snow it’s easy to choose the activity to your taste: skiing, snowboarding, night tobogganing – you name it.

There is an après ski hut at the valley station of the Garfreschabahn. Here you can review the ride with a cup of mulled wine.
