Every year many festivals and concerts of classic music are arranged in Leipzig attracting a great number of tourists and lovers of the arts.

One of the most outstanding and major events in summer is the Classic Open Air festival that is held on the Market Square of the town. For the first time it was organized in 1994, and since that time the festival is taken every year.
