“A capella” International Festival of Vocal Music in Leipzig Music 10 days journey through the history of singing music all over the world. Dozens of artists from all over the world perform during this festival, and you can make yourself familiar with various singing styles. Bach Festival (BachFest) Leipzig Music With over 75,000 visitors from all over the world, BachFest is considered one of the biggest festivals of classical music in the world. The program 2018 also includes the monumental “Ring of Cantatas - Bach Cycles”. Festival of Lights Family & Kids, Entertainment, Music This event is being held in Leipzig annually in commemoration of the events of 9 October 1989, of the so called “Peaceful Revolution”, when nearly 70,000 peaceful protesters marched across the city chanting “We are the people” and “No violence”. These demonstrations became a part of a massive protest wave across DDR that toppled the SED regime. The Berlin Wall fell on 9 October 1989. Thus, the Fall of the Berlin Wall and the Peaceful Revolution that both led to the later reunification of Germany are remembered and celebrated in Leipzig with a spectacular Festival of Lights, with its audio and video performances and concerts of the international artists. TITANIC Panorama The TITANIC Panorama, being held in Leipzig Panometer, is not that much about the sinking of the legendary luxurious ship in 1912, but rather about the human nature and the personality of a man, who thought that he could conquer the laws of nature, what caused destruction of a passenger ship with terrible human lives loss.
