Beaches in the area of Caminha, Costa Verde are oceanic beaches located on the northwest coast of Portugal. The southernmost beach is Praia do Forte do Cão. It is a sandy beach with beautiful rock formations, here are public showers, a restaurant, a surf camp, and convenient parking. Nearby you will find Forte do Cão – a historic landmark from the late 17th century with stunning ocean and coastal views.
Further north is Praia da Duna do Caldeirão, a long natural beach with extensive white sand and beautiful views of mountains, forests, dunes, and the Atlantic Ocean. This place is just perfect for surfers. The northern part of the beach faces the mouth of the Rio Ancora River, and there is also an elevated footbridge leading to the next beach.
Praia de Vila Praia de Ancora is a beautiful family beach located in a village with the same name. The beach is protected by the harbor walls, and here you will find all the necessary conditions to fully enjoy the swimming season. Coastal waters are rich in iodine. The beach is equipped with showers, public bathrooms, and there are surf schools, many cafés, and restaurants. Lifeguards are on duty here as well.
The next beach to the north is Praia de Moledo. It is located on the coast of Moledo village. It is a clean white sandy beach with incredible views, and its blue waters are also rich in iodine. This place has perfect conditions for surfing, windsurfing, and bodyboarding.
The beach is quite popular and has everything you need to relax, including parasol rentals, showers, parking, and an excellent selection of restaurants and cafés.
Praia do Camarido is a wide white sandy beach, next to the famous Mata do Camarido park, it is an oasis of beauty and peace surrounded by a pine forest. The riverside part of the beach is calm and quiet, the oceanside part with wind and waves. There are restaurants and small free parking near the beach.
Praia da Foz do Minho is a white sandy beach with fantastic landscapes. It is located at the mouth of the Rio Minho River and is the northernmost beach in Portugal. Here there is a beautiful view of the border with Spain.
