Beaches of San Domino, Tremiti Islands

San Domino is one of the inhabited islands and the largest one of the Tremiti Islands group, located in the Adriatic Sea, east of the Italian mainland. The entire archipelago is a part of the Gargano National Park, Apulia.

The island has several beaches, among which there are Pagliai Beach, Cala delle Arene, Cala dello Spido, and Cala Matano.

Pagliai Beach is located in the north of San Domino, it is one of the most beautiful and most photographed places on the island. You can get there only by sea. Here, the huge boulders that emerge from the sea and imposing rocks, together with the clear sea waters, create extraordinary landscapes. The bottom is sandy and shallow, so the beach is suitable for everyone, including children.

Cala delle Arene is a small sandy beach where you can rent sun loungers and umbrellas, and there are two restaurants and an excellent diving center nearby.

Cala dello Spido set in an incredibly beautiful bay surrounded by a magnificent pine forest. The waters are very clean, and the coastline is rocky.

Cala Matano is a charming small beach with crystal clear shallow waters surrounded by limestone cliffs and lush vegetation. The beach is considered wild, but it is easy to get to and there are many hotels around.

It is not a problem to get to the islands by ferry. For example, from Termoli Port such a trip takes about 1 hour and 15 minutes.
