The great Railway Hub

About 1300 trains are passing through the Leipzig Bahnhof every day, running between Germany and many European cities. The inter-city trains to Dresden and Berlin are among the most frequent: these directions are very popular and the travel time takes just a little bit more than 1 hour. There are high-speed trains that travel to the city of Hamburg, as well as Paris and Amsterdam, and many other European destinations. The train tickets can be bought at the Travel Centre at one of the counter services, or from the automated ticket machines, which can be found on the territory of the Hauptbahnhof.

The location of the Leipzig central railway terminal is very convenient as you can easily reach it by the majority of the urban transport. There is a large tram junction right in front of the main entrance. It is possible to get to the Bahnhof almost by any city tram.
