Setting Up Cleaning Fees in HotelFriend

If the property provides a mandatory cleaning service, you can add the service fee to the system and include it in the Room Rates. Adding a mandatory cleaning fee to your property’s prices helps maintain cleanliness standards and ensures guests are aware of all charges upfront. This setup keeps pricing transparent for guests and ensures consistency in property management.

Here’s how to set up cleaning fees:

  1. Open the Room Rate module on the left menu and click Settings.
  2. Go to the Cleaning Fees tab.
  3. Select Yes for the "Has final cleaning fee" option.
  4. Fill in the following fields:
    • The name of the service.
    • The cost of the service.
    • The VAT for the service./li>
    • The Article No (if you have one)./li>

    To add more services, click the “+” button and fill in the details. To remove a service, click the “-” button.

  5. Click Save.
  6. Here’s how to set up cleaning fees

    After setting it up, you can add these services on the Room Rates creation and editing page. When a service is added to a room rate, every new booking will automatically include this mandatory service. The cleaning fees will also show up in your reports, helping you keep track of all your property’s services.
