How to connect Stripe

Stripe is a convenient payment system, which can receive and process payments online. If Stripe is connected to the HotelFriend system, there is no need to enter the payment details manually – all data will be updated automatically.

There are two types of connection:

    Stripe Connect

    The Stripe Connect feature sends the data to the HotelFriend, and the Stripe system receives the data later.

  1. Go to the Settings module on the left-side menu.
  2. Select Integrations from the list.
  3. In the input field write Stripe.
  4. On the tile Stripe Connect click Settings.

  5. In a new Modal window click Connect to Stripe.

  6. This will redirect you to a new webpage where you can link your Stripe account to HotelFriend. (Important!) You should be logged in to Stripe Service in this browser. At this step click Connect.

  7. Now, refresh the page and if you follow Steps 1-3 from the current section, you will notice that Stripe Connect has been successfully Integrated.

    Stripe Direct

    The Stripe Direct feature sends the data to the Stripe system, HotelFriend will receive the data later, depending on your configuration.

  1. Go to the Settings module on the left-side menu.
  2. Select Integrations from the list.
  3. In the input field write Stripe.
  4. On the tile Stripe Direct, click “Settings.

  5. There will be two input fields under the toggle button. Copy your Stripe Publishable key and paste it in the first field.
  6. Then, copy your Stripe Restricted key and paste it into the second field.
  7. Click Save.

    To find keys for Steps 5-6. Navigate to your Stripe Dashboard: dashboard.stripe.com

  8. Click Developers.
  9. Choose a tab API keys.
  10. Find the Publishable key and Secret Key values.

    Note: When you Reveal live key of the Secret Key property. During Stripe verification, you may need to confirm your identity using the method you chose during registration.

  11. Copy and paste the Publishable key and Secret Key values into the input fields mentioned in Steps 5 and 6.
  12. Click Save.

    13. Click Save.

  13. Now, refresh the page and if you follow Steps 1-7 from the current section, you will notice that Stripe Direct has been successfully Integrated. Excellent work!
