How to set up Children categories
Children categories is an option that allows you to set different hotel rates for children of different ages. If the cost of accommodating children in the property varies depending on the age of the children, it is necessary to display this in the hotel system.
- Choose the Room Rates module in the menu on the left and click on the General tab.
- In the drop-down list, select the answer “Yes” to the question “Are there different room rates for children than for adults?”.
- Click the “Save” button.
- In the newly appeared field, click “+” to add fields depending on the number of categories.
- In the Age from field, add the minimum age of children that belong to this category. In the Age to field, add the maximum age of children that belong to this category.
- Click the “Save” button.
Here is how to do that:
The screenshot shows the following example with 3 categories of ages of children. Children from 0 to 2 years old; from 3 to 12 years old; from 13 to 17 years old. Thus, when setting prices, you can specify the cost of accommodation based on the child's age category.
