How to set up payment methods

Before processing payments, it is recommended to set up payment methods in HotelFriend. Once set up, these methods will be ready to use whenever you need to process payments, and they also help keep your financial records organized.

Follow these steps to set up Payment Methods in HotelFriend:

  1. In the menu on the left, go to Accounting.
  2. Click on the Settings section.
  3. Go to the Payment Methods tab.

  5. In the STANDARD PAYMENT METHODS section, enter the Account ID number next to each payment method. If you don't know the Account ID numbers, you can ask your accountant for them.
  6. Click Save.
  7. In the STANDARD PAYMENT METHODS section, enter the Account ID number next to each payment method.

    Adding new Payment Methods

  8. To add a new Payment Method, go to the Payment Methods section and click the "+" button.
  9. In the new field that appears, enter the Name of the payment method and the Account ID number
  10. To add more payment methods, click on the “+“ button and indicate information in the new fields. To delete the field with the data, click on the “-“ button.

  11. Click Save.

    Once set up, all payment methods can be used when creating payments, and the Account ID information will appear in the relevant reports. Having everything set up correctly helps make accounting easier and more efficient.
