How to split charges between guest, paymaster, and company
Splitting charges among a guest, paymaster, and company is a common practice in hospitality management. This guide outlines the steps and best practices for effectively dividing expenses, ensuring each party is billed appropriately, and maintaining clear records for accounting purposes in the HotelFriend system.
Here is how to do that:
- In the left panel menu navigate to Reservations.
- Click on the reservation tile you want to manage.
- Choose the Charges tab.
- Select Reservations whose charges you would like to split.
- In the left corner, find the selector and click on the drop-down list to view the options.
- Click on Split charges.
- The following tab will show the selected billing items and their amounts.
- Enter the number of participants among whom you want to split the bill.
- Choose the Amount or Percentage values for splitting the charges.
- Add the Guest(s), Paymaster(s), and Company, if necessary.
- Check the final amount to be paid by each party.
- Click Split to finalize the process.
- Your booking charges are now split between the parties.
