How to use the multi-cancel reservations feature
Efficiently managing reservations is crucial for smooth hotel operations, especially during peak times. The multi-cancel functionality in HotelFriend PMS enables staff to cancel multiple reservations simultaneously. This feature streamlines operations and saves time spent on repetitive actions.
Here is how to cancel reservations in bulk:
- On the left-hand menu, locate and select the Reservations module.
- Select the reservations that you want to cancel.
- Click the drop-down list to see available operations with reservations.
- Click Cancel reservations.
- Choose a cancellation policy option:
- Free cancellation.
- Cancellation according to a certain cancellation policy (this can be free, involve a cancellation fee, or be equal to the prepayment for each reservation).
- Optionally, tick the checkbox to notify the guest about the cancellation.
- Note that some bookings cannot be canceled through the multi-cancel feature. This typically occurs if an invoice has been issued for the reservation. In such cases, you must cancel these reservations manually.
- Once you have resolved any cancellation restrictions from step 7, click Cancel booking.
