What’s new for hoteliers?
1. Connecting the Self Check-Out Kiosk feature to reservation statuses
The Self Check-Out functionality on the HotelFriend Kiosk has been enhanced to allow greater control based on reservation status and timing.
In the Guest Facing > Devices module, under the Self Check-Out tab, you will find two new fields: "Statuses for self check-out" and "When the user can make a self check-out."
Hoteliers can now define specific reservation statuses (such as Due In, Due Out, Confirmed, etc.) that permit self-check-out. A new setting also allows hoteliers to determine when exactly guests can check out, such as on the reservation day, one or more days before, or anytime.
2. Introducing clearer service management on the Booking Engine
Our Packages module now offers more intuitive service management, distinguishing between included and optional services. Hoteliers have the flexibility to decide if services are applied per reservation or guest.
When guests book a package, they can easily see which services are mandatory and which are optional, with the ability to remove non-essential services from their cart.
The Booking Engine reflects this distinction, showcasing mandatory and optional services separately, enhancing the transparency of the guest booking experience.
3. Optimized mobile user experience for the Extend Stay on the Kiosk
Our Extend Stay module now offers a fully responsive mobile interface, allowing guests to extend their stay effortlessly via a mobile Kiosk interface. This enhancement ensures that your guests can manage their stay extensions with ease and convenience from any device.
4. Enhanced mobile user experience for the Service Overview module
We have also optimized the Order Service Kiosk module for mobile access, enhancing the guest experience when browsing and selecting services. This update ensures that guests have a seamless and enjoyable experience, whether they’re viewing services on a desktop or a mobile device, making it easier for them to customize their stay according to their preferences.
5. Minor fixes and visual improvements
- ● Display the exact number of adults and children on Deals instead of using general "persons".
- ● Enhanced service time selection for clarity and validation in the cart on Kiosks.
- ● Display the default price in the Select Price dropdown of the Deal card.
- ● Fixed checkbox and dropdown functionality on the Booking Engine.
- ● Resolved an infinite preloader issue on Kiosks.
