We’re thrilled to introduce an update crafted to enhance the experience for both you and your guests. With this version, your guests can now easily book hourly services through the Booking Engine and explore amenities with Resource Maps.
What’s new for hoteliers?
1. Hourly service reservations and Resource Maps now available on Booking Engine
For hotels that offer hourly services such as massages, spa treatments, tennis sessions, and equipment rentals like bikes and boats, our existing Inventory Scheduler feature is designed to help you efficiently manage these bookings and associated resources. You can specify the duration and pricing for each service in the HotelFriend system, which enhances your ability to plan and manage guest services effectively.
Now, we're introducing a new addition: your guests can book these hourly services directly through the Scheduler on the Booking Engine. This new feature provides real-time visibility into service availability and pricing, allowing guests to easily select specific dates and times for their bookings.

Additionally, they can access the new Resources Map, which offers a detailed layout of all available resources to help guests locate your amenities like tennis courts and conference rooms. While the map is intended for informational purposes and isn't interactive, it helps your guests in navigation and planning.

During the booking process, guests have the option to choose various time slots (e.g., 1-hour or 1.5-hour rentals), add extras, and leave comments, giving them the freedom to personalize their experience according to their preferences.
2. Minor fixes and visual improvements
- ● Resolved issues with checkboxes and dropdowns on the Booking Engine for smoother interaction.
- ● Adjustments to mobile scrolling, filters, and dropdown menus for improved usability.
- ● Implemented a preloader in 'My Trips' for a more seamless experience after guests log in.
- ● Ensured all services are visible under the 'All Services' tab for comprehensive access.
