This update introduces new features like My Trips in the Devices module, a Room Request feature on the kiosk, automatic signature saving for Self Check-In, and various other enhancements to improve your operational efficiency.
What’s new for hoteliers?
1. Show or hide prices in the booking calendar
In the Booking Engine, a new setting has been introduced that allows you to show or hide prices in the calendar. The toggle “Show the prices in the calendar” can now be found in the Booking Engine settings. Enabling this toggle will display prices in the calendar while disabling it will show the calendar without prices.
2. New settings in the My Trips section in the Devices module
A new section called My Trips has been added to the Devices module for kiosks, introducing new settings for Self Check-In, Extend Stay, and Self Check-Out features. If you have a booking, you can view it in My Trips and manage Self Check-In, Extend Stay, or Self Check-Out directly from this section.
This module allows you to enable or disable these features, providing flexibility in managing bookings. Hoteliers can control the availability of these buttons in the settings, with these features being accessible only if the corresponding modules are active in your system.
3. Room request feature is available on the kiosk
We have added a Room Request setting to the HotelFriend Kiosk, allowing guests to send booking requests for specific dates and hotel rooms directly from the kiosk. This feature was previously only available in the Booking Engine.
4. Upsell feature for kiosk: service suggestions
A new upsell feature has been implemented for the kiosk. When booking a room and adding it to the cart, guests will automatically receive suggestions to book additional services, enhancing their experience and your revenue.
5. New modifications for "Are you here?" modal window on the kiosk
New settings have been added for the "Are you here?" modal window. This window appears if the user is inactive for a certain period. You can now set the inactivity time, ranging from 30 to 180 seconds, before this window appears on the kiosk screen. After this period, the session will expire, and the user will be logged out, and redirected to the home page.
6. Added a footer with the hotel’s phone number to the kiosk
We have also added a footer with the hotel’s phone number to the kiosk. This allows guests to easily find contact information on all kiosk pages, making it easier to reach out to the hotel staff if they have any issues.
7. Added a new informational screen for Devices with no features
A new screen has been added for devices with no features, informing users that the device is empty and suggesting that the hotelier add some modules. This screen also provides a brief guide on how to add these modules.
8. Automatic selection of a single payment method on the Booking Engine
For hotels with only one payment option, the booking payment page will now automatically select this single payment method, streamlining the process for guests. This feature ensures that there is no confusion regarding the payment method, making the transaction smoother for both the guest and the hotel staff.
9. Automatic signature saving during Self Check-In
The automatic signature saving feature in Self Check-In significantly improves the check-in flow for guests. Previously, guests had to manually click a "Save" button to ensure their signature was recorded, which added an extra step to the process. Now, the system automatically saves the signature once it is provided, eliminating the need for any additional action from the guest.
10. Minor fixes and improvements

- ● Updated the German translation of the "More info" button on the Booking Engine and Kiosk Dynamic room views.
