Product Updates v. 3.105.0: HotelFriend Payments, improved Group Booking Invoices, and user-friendly display of reservation details

Product Updates v. 3.105.0: Adyen tokenization, improved Group Booking Invoices, and user-friendly display of reservation details

In this release, we've implemented enhancements aimed at providing you with greater control in managing bookings, payments, and guest data. Read on to discover what's new and how these updates can benefit your property.

What’s new for hoteliers?

1. Implemented tokenization for guest cards during payment

In HotelFriend Payments, we've implemented tokenization for guest cards during the payment process. Now, during prepayment on the Booking Engine, guest cards are tokenized and securely stored within the booking system.

This tokenization happens whether or not a prepayment is made, ensuring that the most recent card used is updated in our system while all tokenized cards are securely stored in the system. Additionally, cards can now be tokenized during invoice creation.

2. Guest names are now displayed near items in Group Booking Invoices

We've also improved Group Booking Invoices by connecting them with invoice settings. These invoices now display guest names alongside individual items instead of just the payer's name, making it easier to track and manage group bookings.

3. Expanded display of reservation details

To enhance reservation management, we’ve added the display of "Meals" and "Room Rate Type" information across several key sections: the Reservation Preview, Reservation Details, and the “Quick Booking” modal window in the Front Desk. The “Paid/Balance” status is now also visible in the preview, eliminating the need to open the reservation to see this information.

4. New “Order Details” modal in the Inventory Schedule

For hotels utilizing Inventory management, we’ve updated the display logic for orders. Now, when you click on an existing order in the Inventory Schedule, a new "Order Details" modal opens, displaying comprehensive order data and items. From this modal, you can easily navigate to edit the order or view the full order page.

5. Introducing a setting in check-in restrictions that prevents overlapping check-ins

A new setting has been introduced in the Check-In & Age section under Check-In Restrictions. This toggle prevents overlapping check-ins by ensuring that no new guest can check in (or self-check-in) until all prior reservations in the room have been checked out or canceled. This feature is designed to prevent issues with door lock card encoding for new guests and is off by default.

6. Added validation for mandatory custom fields

To improve data accuracy, we’ve added validation for mandatory custom fields in the Guest Creation Page under General > Guest Settings > Custom Fields. This ensures that all necessary information is captured accurately during the guest creation process, reducing the likelihood of errors.

7. Minor fixes and visual improvements

  • ● Self Check-In Emails: The system now correctly defaults to the hotel’s language when the guest's language is not specified.
  • ● Guest Source Widget: The Guest Source widget on the Hotel Dashboard now accurately displays current daily data instead of the last checked-in booking source.
  • ● VAT Application: The system now correctly applies the actual VAT from the service category.
  • ● Invoice Corrections: City and Zip code fields are now properly retained during invoice corrections.
