What’s new for hoteliers?
1. Adyen payments for reservation cancellations
Guests can conveniently settle cancellation fees directly within My Trips on the Booking Engine. With the "Cancel & Pay" option, when a guest cancels a reservation, they can swiftly pay the fee online via Adyen, ensuring a seamless and immediate payment process.
2. Introducing Adyen and PayPal payments for Deals
We’ve enhanced our payment options for Deals by adding Adyen and PayPal. Guests can use the "Buy Now" button to purchase individual offers and pay securely via Adyen or PayPal, provided these payment methods are set up in the system.
3. New setting to control the Concierge App banner on the Booking Engine and Kiosk
You can now manage the display of the Concierge app banner in the Booking Engine and Kiosk. Displayed by default, this banner prompts guests to download the Concierge app.
To disable it, go to:
● Booking Engine: Navigate to Setup > Settings, and switch off “Show information about the Concierge app.”
● HotelFriend Kiosk: In your PMS, go to Guest Facing > Devices > My Trips to enable or disable the banner.
4. Added a "Payment on the Spot" option for Kiosks
We’ve introduced a flexible payment method called "Payment on the Spot" for Kiosks. This option allows guests to pay for their reservations and services directly at the Kiosk, offering more flexibility and convenience.
5. Improved error messaging for Self-Check-In
If a guest has already completed a self-check-in attempt and wants to check in again for the same reservation, an error message will explain why this action is impossible.
6. Minor fixes and visual improvements
- ● Ensured that the logo from the settings appeared on all pages of the Guest Facing (Kiosk) interface.
- ● Corrected translations for bookings on the "My Trips" page.
- ● Improved the layout for self-check-in on Kiosks and the calendar view with delivery time and room number.
- ● Resolved issues with payments for cancellations via PayPal on the Booking Engine.
- ● Updated the text on the success page after canceling a reservation with a PayPal payment.
- ● Fixed an issue where orders could not be booked on Kiosks if no payment method was selected.
