We're back with a new BE release packed with accessibility upgrades and smart guest-facing improvements designed to make every step of the stay smoother — from booking to unlocking the room door.
Here's what's new:
1. Remote Open Door in My Trips for Salto KS
Guests staying at hotels using the Salto KS door lock system can now unlock their room directly from My Trips on the Booking Engine and BE Pro. A new "Open Door" button, styled in the hotel's brand colors, opens a window displaying the room type and number — one tap unlocks the door.
2. Accessibility compliance for guests with disabilities
The Booking Engine, BE Pro, and Guest Facing (check-in terminal) interfaces now meet WCAG 2.1 accessibility standards. Improvements include:
- ● Proper alternative text added to images
- ● Clear labels added to forms and buttons
- ● Empty buttons fixed
- ● Contrast issues resolved
- ● Remaining accessibility alerts cleaned up
Guests with disabilities can easily now complete booking and check-in using assistive technology on their own devices.
3. Number of guests staying shown for bookings
To make group reservations much clearer, guests can now see exactly how many people can stay in a room, along with the accommodation breakdown. This is now displayed next to the Reserve button in the Dynamic 2, Detailed, and Compact room views.
