This week, we are ready to share some big improvements to our Guest Facing software. We've made it even easier to pay with PayPal and Adyen, starting from Booking Offer all the way through checkout. Plus, we've polished up our deals. And that's just a small part of what we have in store for you!

What’s new for hoteliers?

1. Introducing PayPal payments for Booking Offers and Cancellations

We're thrilled to introduce PayPal as a new payment option for both Booking Offers and Reservation Cancellations.

Now, when guests receive a Booking Offer via email and click on the payment link provided, they can effortlessly settle their reservation using PayPal. Likewise, guests with active reservations can seamlessly cancel them within My Trips and conveniently pay any associated fees via this payment method.

2. Adyen integration for effortless Checkout and Invoice payments

We've integrated Adyen into our Checkout page and Invoices, offering guests a smoother payment experience.

Guests can opt for Fast Check-Out using Adyen on the Checkout page to streamline the reservation process. In addition to that, it is now available as a payment method for handling invoices, providing guests with greater flexibility.

3. Customize Self-check-in flow with optional document scanning

Our team understands the importance of flexibility in the core hotel processes. That's why we've introduced an option to disable document scanning during self-check-in on the Booking Engine. Hoteliers can easily manage this feature in settings, tailoring the check-in experience to suit their guests' preferences.

4. Room type details now included in the Booking Engine deal pricing options

Guests can now make more informed decisions with the inclusion of room type information in deal pricing options on the Booking Engine. This enhancement allows guests to view room size, type, and included amenities, empowering them to select the best option for their stays.

5. Monitor payment deadlines with "Due In" status on My Trips

Managing bookings is now more convenient with the addition of a "Due in" status display on the "My Trips" page. This enhancement, available on both the HotelFriend kiosk and the Booking Engine, provides guests with clear visibility into upcoming payment obligations, enhancing their overall trip experience.

6. Display all prices in the hotel's currency on the kiosk

To simplify the booking process, all prices on the kiosk are displayed in the hotel's currency. This improvement ensures consistency and clarity for guests when browsing services and making reservations.

7. Enhanced kiosk experience with "Where to attach the card?" hint

Navigating the kiosk is now easier with the addition of helpful tips. Guests can access guidance on accessing self-check-in or self-check-out by clicking on the "Attach room card" tooltip, which provides a visual aid highlighting the card scanner's location on the kiosk.

8. Minor fixes and visual improvements

  • ● Improved field name consistency in "My Profile" for email, phone number, and birthday fields.
  • ● Enhanced shopping cart experience – user data is stored in the shopping cart even after the user logs out.
  • ● Resolved the preloader issue on the "My Trips" page.
  • ● Implemented notifications for invalid cards when paying through Adyen.
  • ● Rectified the issue of displaying bookings involving prepayment and Adyen payment method on the "My Trips" page.
