Product Updates v. 3.67.0: “Stock and Availability” for services, the Monthly Room Rates setting, and improved Cancellation Policy

In HotelFriend, we’re striving to make your work easier and more enjoyable with each new update. Today, we’re pleased to present new settings for services and the Automation module, enhanced billing & invoicing for hotel rates, and some other major improvements.

 

What’s new for hoteliers?

1. Added the ability to divide meals into “Food” and “Beverages”

Now you can divide meals into “Food“ and “Beverages“ in any percent ratio, as well as select different VAT rates.

2. Introduced “Stock and Availability“ setting for services

This setting allows for managing total service availability or availability per day (for instance, cribs). Added notification that pops up when the limit is exceeded. If the service is out of stock, it won’t be possible to order service for a guest from the Booking Engine or Concierge.

3. Improved Cancellation Policy by adding prepayment policy setting

You can choose between several options: fixed price, percentage of reservation, nights, or without prepayment.

4. Enhanced Booking confirmation emails

The services and extras to services are now displayed in the Booking confirmation emails.

5. Added the new “Charges” tab to Guest and Reservation pages

The “Charges” tab allows for more convenient management of billing items.

6. Added a new setting to the Automation module (additional guests credentials)

Automatically generate and send login credentials for your additional guests.

7. Rolled out an opportunity to set monthly room rates

9. Made some fixes

  • a) Fixed wrong currency format for Vietnam Dong (VND)
  • b) Fixed VAT rates rounding on Create invoice modal and in the invoice document
  • c) Fixed names for email templates
  • d) Fixed Management report / Average duration of stay feature
  • c) Fixed some minor UI issues.

Web release v.2.31.0: what’s new for website users?

Booking Offer updates, Service quota limit, Booking and Service view in My Trips, and more

This week, we are proud to release new enhancements for the guest-facing part of our product. Here is what was improved to make your guest’s user experience better than ever:

 

1. We’ve added two ways of confirming a Booking Offer

You can create Booking Offers that include rates with or without Prepayment. The guest will have an opportunity to confirm a Booking Offer either on the page that opens after clicking the link in the email or in My Trips.

2. Introduced a new Service quota limit that displays the limit on available services

If a guest tries to order more services than it is possible to book on a given day, they will be notified about it.

3. Enhanced Booking and Service view in My Trips

Services included in the reservation will now be displayed next to the details of the booked room. The services will be grouped according to the delivery date. We’ve also updated the payment amount preview, and now guests can clearly see the amount of VAT, taxes, and fees included in the total amount.

4. Changed help text on Remote Reception first page

5. Improved booking logic

In case the room becomes unavailable during booking, the guest will be redirected to the room search page with a list of currently available options.

6. Made some minor fixes

  • a) Fixed a preloader after booking confirmation.
  • b) Fixed layout in mobile version.
  • c) Fixed menu link in header from success booking page
  • d) Fixed cart clearing when signing in/up the user at the checkout stage (if Stripe is disabled at the hotel).
